A rising travel platform plans to attract one million international trips to Thailand in 2023.

Mr. Eric Gnock Fah, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Klook, a leading Asian travel platform that offers a one-stop-shop for quality travel activities and services, announced that his company will launch a promotional campaign to attract more international tourists to Thailand, targeting at least one million trips.

In 2023, Klook’s bookings of travel activities grew by 100% in the first quarter. This growth reflects positive signs of recovery in Thailand’s tourism industry and also shows that tourists are increasingly willing to spend more money on Thai tourism activities, especially those that revolve around Thai culture and offer meaningful experiences, said Mr. Eric.

He also revealed that Klook has joined forces as a key partner with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The two partners are trying to boost and promote Thai tourism among the Asian customer base, which is a strong and targeted customer base of TAT.

The collaboration will support and encourage Free Independent Travelers (FITs) from seven countries – Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia – to visit Thailand. Mr. Eric said this is the first collaboration ever to stimulate multi-market tourism.
