Allegedly Fake Government Officers Beat, Rob, and Kidnap Pattaya Resident

Pattaya

A group of what the victim believed to be fake government officials allegedly intruded into the victim’s house, robbed money from him, and abducted his brother from the house on Tuesday, February 7th.

The house is located in Pattaya’s Naklua sub-district of Banglamung district. The victim, Mr. Prasit Surprasert, 37, reached out to The Pattaya News yesterday, February 9th, to report his terrifying experience, claiming he was beaten by what he described as a group of possibly take government officials.

Prasit claimed the suspects also kidnapped his brother from the house and stole 8,000 Baht from him. The suspects, who reportedly wore jackets belonging to government officials, suddenly marched into his house and falsely accused one of his family members of being a motorcycle thief.

Although Prasit denied stealing any motorcycles, the men did not listen and allegedly bashed him on the head with a stick. They also stole his money, dragged his younger brother outside, and kidnapped him, according to Prasit’s claim.

The victim has not been able to contact his brother ever since he was abducted. He stated he had already filed a report at Banglamung police station and also wanted the media to spread the news.

Prasit was unsure if the suspects were really government officials and believed they were actually an organized criminal gang. He suffered a large head injury from the blow.

Meanwhile, actual Pattaya law enforcement and officials are investigating the case as of press time and searching for the missing brother.
