47-Year-Old Woman Dies in Tragic Accident While Walking Around Her Car in Pattaya

A woman parked her car beside the road and was crushed to death by a pickup truck while she was walking around her vehicle on Wednesday, February 8th.

CCTV footage at the front of Lotus Express in the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung district showed the victim, Ms. Bussara Pinijmontri Dawarker, 47, pulling over her sedan in front of the supermarket at about 5 PM on Wednesday.

The camera then captured Bussara exiting her car, and while she was walking around her vehicle, a white pickup truck suddenly emerged into the footage, crashed head-on into the victim, and ran over her.

Bussara sustained multiple critical injuries. Sawang Boriboon rescue services pronounced her dead at the scene before transporting her to a nearby hospital for funeral arrangements.

At the scene, Pattaya Police questioned the pickup truck driver, Mr. Kiattisak Chenram. However, the 30-year-old looked intoxicated and declined to provide a statement, according to police. His wife, Ms. Lakkhana Nonyaso, 29, was inside his car and shocked by the incident.

The wife claimed that her husband tried to avoid a motorcycle that cut off her pickup. This forced her husband to abruptly change lanes and crashed into the victim. The wife added her husband was sick and just took his pills, which explained why he looked inactive. However, the police took him to test for drugs and alcohol at the station. The results of the test were not released to the press.

The victim’s body remains at a local hospital to await religious rites.
