166 Million Baht Poured into Developing Pattaya Beach

Pattaya —

The Pattaya deputy mayor, Manoch Nongyai, came out today to give an update on the development project for Pattaya Beach.

He said the project, which cost the city 166 million baht, ranged from North Pattaya Beach to the entrance of Walking Street, totaling 2.7 kilometers in length.

The construction zone was divided into zones A through E, and only zones A and B were underway to reduce the impact on tourism.

Manoch stated that the city also decided to expand the road surface by 2.5 meters from North Pattaya to Soi 4 in Central Pattaya to create more parking spaces for tourists. The road was expanded on the right side and now could hold about 200 cars.

However, the deputy mayor said that drivers would no longer be able to park their vehicles on undesignated spots on the right side of Beach Road once the project was completed, citing that it would obstruct pedestrians.
