Pattaya —

A Thai woman sustained injuries when her jet ski crashed into another while heading back to the beach in Pattaya.

At 6 AM yesterday, December 4th, Sawang Boriboon emergency responders rushed to Jomtien Beach in Banglamung, Chonburi, to help a domestic female tourist aged about 25-30 years old.

The woman, whose name was not identified, got into an accident when her jet ski collided with another unnamed tourist’s jet ski off of Jomtien Beach. The woman suffered swelling in her left eye and scrapes around her body. She was transported to a nearby hospital. Her injuries were not life-threatening, said the first responders.

An eyewitness to the accident told local media that a jet ski operator called for the woman and another jet ski driver to head back to the beach simultaneously. The two then collided head-on, flinging the woman off her jet ski and banging her head. There was no report of the other jet ski driver being injured.

It was unclear why the jet skis were operating before the sun had risen and when it was still dark, which normally doesn’t take place. There were no immediate announcements around an investigation of the accident by relevant law enforcement agencies.
