Fire engulfs abandoned and closed sports club in Pattaya

A fire destroyed a closed and since abandoned Pattaya sports club, but luckily nobody was injured.

Nongprue firefighters responded to a fire at the Pattaya Land and House Village in the Nongprue subdistrict of Banglamung, Chonburi, yesterday, November 12th.

The incident scene was a one-storey sports club situated in the village, according to 59-year-old security guard Yong Shohong. The club was closed and abandoned and turned into a storage place to keep old tires, wooden tables, cabinets, and other unwanted objects.

The blaze was significant inside the club and took a fire unit about 30 minutes to extinguish. Most objects were destroyed, but fortunately, nobody was hurt. According to firefighters, a short circuit was believed to be the cause.

Specialists are trying to establish the exact cause of the blaze.
