Elderly woman in Sri Racha receives help from Red Cross officials after her house burned down

Sri Racha —

A lone, 70-year-old Sri Racha villager was aided by Red Cross officials after her house was burned to the ground on November 2nd.

The help came to the elderly victim of a fire, Mrs. Samorn Hanunrak, yesterday, November 8th. Samorn is a villager in the Bueng subdistrict of Sri Racha, Chonburi. Her house along with almost everything she had were incinerated in a fire last week.

Samorn received a survival bag containing rice, water, food, and money from a group of caring officials from the Red Cross Society led by Ms. Prapatsara Srithong, a director of the Chonburi Red Cross Society.

Prapasara said she would provide further support to the victim and help her find shelter while her new house is being rebuilt.

The cause of the fire was not revealed to the Thai press.
