Four people injured after street brawl on Koh Larn in Pattaya

Pattaya —

Two groups of adults equipped with weapons clashed on Koh Larn, leaving four people injured on Tuesday, November 2nd.

The clash happened at night in front of an unnamed resort on Koh Larn in the Naklua subdistrict of Banglamung, Chonburi.

A security camera caught 6-8 adults on motorbikes passing by the resort and glancing back at another group that was marching towards them on foot.

The group on motorbikes then left the footage, which was when another group of six adults emerged with long sticks, taunting their rivals to come back.

The first group turned their motorbikes and dashed back to face the challengers while holding long sticks. A commotion immediately erupted after they seemingly failed to verbally settle the dispute. Some men were seen getting pounded to the floor and brutally stomped in CCTV footage (click to see the footage, viewer discretion advised).

In the end, four men were injured (three seriously), including Surasak Boonthawee, 34, Montree Rungpaisit, 34, Ong Kowin, a 39-year-old Burmese national, and Toh La, a 39-year-old Laotian national.

All of them were transported to a hospital on Koh Larn and then to Banglamung Hospital to receive medical treatment. Police said the fleeing suspects resided in the area. They all had been identified as of press time and would be arrested soon.
