Low-hanging wire sweeps man off motorcycle in Sri Racha

Sri Racha —

A 22-year-old motorcyclist was injured after he ran into a wire hanging at neck-level across the road in Sri Racha.

The incident took place in the early hours of October 23rd in Soi Boa Yang in the Nongkham subdistrict of Sri Racha. The victim, Mr. Weerapat Ruangkarin, 22, showed a long red bruise around his neck to The Pattaya News, saying he was choked by a low-hanging wire.

Weerapat stated that he was riding his motorcycle to a restaurant. At first, there was no wire across the road, but while he was riding on the same way to his home, Weerapat got swept off his bike to the ground by a thin wire. He said he was very lucky because he was riding at low speed.

Initially, Weerapat filed a police report at the Nongkham police station and urged police to find the owner of the wire to take responsibility for his injury.
