Two motorcycle riders collide in Pattaya, one killed

Pattaya —

A 42-year-old Thai man was killed instantly after colliding his motorcycle with another motorcyclist in Pattaya.

A fatal accident unfolded in the early hours of today, October 20th, on a road near the Mapprachan Reservoir in the Nongprue subdistrict of Banglamung, Chonburi.

A 42-year-old Thai victim, Mr. Ketthit Phrafangyan, was found deceased by Pattaya police on the road. He had bled a lot of blood and sustained multiple serious injuries. His black Honda Wave 125i motorcycle was found with a crumpled frontal part. Another motorcyclist whose identity was not revealed by police was also found with non-life threatening injuries but was unable to speak to police about the cause of the accident due to being rushed to a lcoal hospital.

There were no eyewitnesses, according to Pol. Lt. Col. Teetat Trunchan, a deputy investigation officer from the Pattaya police station. He assumed the two motorcyclists may have crashed into each other, resulting in one fatality. However, he would examine CCTV footage later to establish the exact cause of the accident.
