Banglamung, Chonburi –

A motorcyclist was seriously injured after crashing into a sedan while reportedly attempting to overtake a pickup truck at Soi Laplae in the Nong Prue Subdistrict on Saturday night, September 10th.

Inspectors from the Nong Prue subdistrict police station and rescue volunteers arrived at the scene after being notified of the road accident around 11:00 PM. There, a white sedan was found with damages on its frontal parts and a red motorcycle was also found fallen in the middle of the road.

A male rider, aged about 35-40 years, was found injured and unconscious. Rescuers then performed first aid before rushing him to the nearest hospital. He was not immediately identified.

The car driver, whose name was withheld by law enforcement, told the police that he was driving towards Nong Prue subdistrict when the motorcycle was reportedly driving on the opposite direction and then attempted to overtake a pickup truck but failed, so the motorcycle crashed into his car and the rider fell off the motorbike, causing several injuries.

The accident remains under investigation according to Nongprue law enforcement.
