An RPG grenade was discovered near the Mapprachan reservoir in Pattaya.
Pol. Col. Damrong Iampairote from the Nongprue Police Station responded to a report of an explosive object discovered at the edge of the woods near a parking lot of the Mapprachan reservoir.
The police went to the incident scene yesterday, August 30th, and found one rusty RPG grenade in the grass. The police then roped off the area to alert people and contacted the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit to collect the bomb.
The bomb was reportedly first discovered by a grass mower who was still safe and sound. The Mabprachan reservoir remained open as usual, according to police.
How the device got there is still under investigation. It was unclear if the device was fully functional.
