Ban Bueng, Chonburi —
A sleepy truck driver collided with another truck and reportedly got his passenger aged around 40-50 years old killed.
Ban Bueng rescue services on Wednesday, August 24th, responded to a fatal collision between two trucks in the Nong Sam Sak subdistrict of Ban Bueng, Chonburi.

At the scene, a white Isuzu truck was found on the road with its front tightly jammed into the rear of another white Isuzu truck. The rescue workers checked the truck at the rear and found a deceased victim stuck on the passenger’s side.
The victim was around 40-50 years old with an unknown identity. He sustained several broken ribs and a skull fracture and was immediately pronounced dead on the spot. The 28-year-old truck driver Nonthachai Lat-tai, on the other hand, suffered only minor injuries. Ban Bueng Police reportedly suspected him of drowsy driving.

Another truck driver, Sompong Nokkaew, 33, who sustained no injuries said he parked his truck on the side of the road to go grab some noodles. The allegedly sleepy driver then crashed into his truck from the back, killing the passenger and urging him to call rescue services.
Ban Bueng Police said they would question the surviving truck driver to see if he was really driving while drowsy.
