Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health is planning to announce Covid-19 Coronavirus as aÂ communicableÂ disease under surveillance in the country by October 1st.
Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul revealed to the press on Monday, August 8th, that the Ministry would propose the recategorization of Covid-19 fromÂ a dangerous communicable disease to aÂ communicable disease underÂ surveillance to theÂ Communicable Disease Committee by October 1st.
And starting September 1st, Covid-19 patients will be able to seek Covid-19 medicines at hospitals nationwide without registration or procedures from Public Health. The Minister also stressed sufficient medical supplies and an effective support system was available for the infections.
“The relaxation to aÂ communicable disease under surveillance will be proposed to the academic committee and the Communicable Disease Committee. It should be effective from October 1st onwards,” Anutin said.
Meanwhile, the public is being reminded to live with Covid-19Â safely under the preventive measures despite the easing announcement in the future.
