Omani tourist killed after crashing onto hotel footpath in Pattaya last night

Banglamung, Chonburi –

An Omani tourist was killed after reportedly riding a motorcycle and crashing onto a footpath in the Nong Prue subdistrict of Banglamung district on Saturday, July 30th.

Pattaya City Police and rescue volunteers arrived at the scene after being alerted to the incident around 10:00 PM. Upon arrival, a motorcycle was found on the road leading to the Royal Cliff Hotel.

The 32-year-old rider, who was identified as Nadir Salim Mohamed Al Maawali, was found lying unconscious with a large fracture on his head and bleeding ears. The rescuers and the doctors tried to perform first aid but the young man was pronounced dead later. The victim had not been wearing a protective motorbike helmet and speed was a factor in the accident.

According to a hotel security guard, they heard the sound of a motorcycle crash, so they rushed out to see what happened and found the injured person lying on the road. The officials then called the police and rescuers for help.

Initially, the inspectors began the investigation and examined the hotel’s nearby CCTV to determine the exact cause of the accident. Meanwhile, the rescuers would contact the deceased’s family members to transfer the body for a religious ceremony.
