Serial thief who stole from Pattaya noodle restaurant captured by owner

South Pattaya —

A serial thief who stole from a noodle restaurant in South Pattaya was captured by the owner after trying to steal from the same restaurant again.

The owner of a local noodle restaurant Wuttichai Wannachai, 29, told The Pattaya News on Tuesday, July 27th, that he recently caught a serial thief who stole from his restaurant once based on his CCTV footage and tried to commit the same act again yesterday.

According to Wuttichai, the suspect previously sneaked into his restaurant located in South Pattaya at night, stole his staff’s tips worth 600 baht, and escaped easily. “The suspect was a 165-centimeter-tall man wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts based on my security camera,” the owner told the Pattaya News.

In anticipation that the suspect would return, Wuttichai said that he and his staff camped at the restaurant till the late night of July 27th, when the suspect did reappear, walking unknowingly into his trap before getting detained by him and the staff.

Wuttichai stated that he handed the suspect to Pattaya police to take care of the legal procedures. The name of the suspect was withheld by law enforcement.
