Pattaya —

Visitors’ cars crammed the Bali Hai Pier parking spaces as Thailand officially began a four-day-long holiday weekend.

Local media reported from Bali Hai Pier that around 200 visitors’ cars occupied the Bali Hai Pier’s parking space at 10 AM this morning. Most of the visitors, according to local media, are heading to Koh Larn to spend their vacation during this four-day-long weekend.

The officials stationed at the pier to help with traffic said that Bali Hai Pier usually provides free parking during any long weekend to help visitors reduce the cost of their trip. Today’s situation is still manageable, and most visitors parked their vehicles neatly, the official stated.

However, the officials told local media that the Bali Hai Pier’s parking spaces are likely to be fully occupied soon and that the drivers who are late may have to use a private service instead.

Additionally, extremely heavy traffic was seen city-wide, especially in the early evening and on Jomtien Beach as thousands of domestic tourists came to visit for the weekend holiday, which marks His Royal Majesty the King’s birthday.

This weekend is expected to continue to see many visitors and traffic although there is a chance of inclement weather.
