47-year-old pedestrian suffers serious injuries after getting hit by a sedan in Sri Racha

A 47-year-old man heading back home from work suffered serious injuries after getting crashed into by a sedan. The driver reportedly claimed that the victim ran in front of him.

Nong Kham police responded to a traffic accident on Thursday, July 28th, on Mab Ieng-Laem Chabang Rd in the Nong Kham subdistrict of Sri Racha.

The victim was an oil truck driver named Thitikorn Ployyai, 47. He was reportedly returning home from work before getting crashed into by a sedan while trying to cross the road.

Thitikorn sustained multiple serious injuries and lost consciousness, so the rescue workers had to rush him to Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital for emergency assistance.

The sedan driver Chaiyarit Phromsom, 34, waited at the scene, reportedly shocked at what had happened. He claimed that the victim ran in front of his car and that he could not brake.

As of press time, the police were investigating the accident scene to find the exact cause of the accident.

However, it was unclear what legal action they would press against the driver.
