42-year-old driver crashes into street barrier and dies in Pattaya

A 42-year-old male driver crashed into a street barrier and died on the spot in the middle of the night of Friday, July 23rd.

At 2:15 AM, Pol. Lt. Col. Nakrob Siriphan from the Highway Police Station responded to a car accident with a fatality on Motorway Road inbound to Pattaya in the Takhian Tia subdistrict of Banglamung.

The car was a bronze Isuzu D-Max pickup truck that slammed into a street barrier. The victim Surasak Phumarin, 42, was found inside the car wreck. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries.

According to reports, nobody witnessed the accident. The first person who saw the car happened to pass by and check on the victim who had already passed away. Highway police said they would look into CCTV footage to find the cause of the crash, as of press time.
