Dozens of eggs worth almost ten thousand baht stolen from Pattaya area egg merchant

Banglamung —

Dozens of eggs worth 8,600 baht were stolen from a female egg merchant in Banglamung.

Hem Sara, a 40 year-old Thai-Vietnamese egg merchant, told The Pattaya News reporters about a man who stole dozens of eggs worth over 8,600 baht from her stall on Tuesday, July 19th.

According to Hem, she sold eggs near a convenience store in the Huai Yai subdistrict of Banglamung. On July 19th, a man on a car stopped to buy eggs from her. He ordered dozens of eggs worth 8,600 baht, but once Hem finished packing the eggs, the suspect immediately took the eggs from her and put them in his car in a very hasty manner, the victim said.

The suspect then tried to convince her that he had to drive to an ATM to withdraw the money, but the victim did not believe him and asked for her merchandise back.

He then said he would walk to a nearby garage to get the money, which the victim let him and waited at her stall. However, the suspect sneaked back into his car without Hem noticing and drove away, leaving her bewildered and sad because she had just lost a large sum of money to feed the family.

Hem told The Pattaya News reporters that she already reported the case to Hui Yai police who promised her to take this matter seriously and capture the suspect as soon as possible.
