He also praises China’s great achievements in eliminating extreme poverty.

Thailand expected to learn from China’s development experience, understand the trends of the era, seize the historical opportunity, and push Thai-Chinese cooperation forward in all aspects.

Wang Yi stated that China and Thailand have developed strong and stable relations, which benefit from strategic guidance from the leaders of the two countries, a long-lasting friendship that is close like a family, and a strong political trust between the two countries.

He continued that China and Thailand could work on building a China-Laos-Thailand Railway to smooth the transportation of goods with convenient and fast channels while promoting economy and trade with better logistics, and facilitating the growth of industries with a strong economy and trade.

In response, General Prayut expressed his hopes to synergize the “Thailand 4.0” development strategy with China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) as well as carry out the cooperation based on the Thai-China-Laos railway and unleash the full potential of cross-border railways.
