Female motorcyclist dies after crashing into parked pickup truck in Sattahip District

A 33-year-old female motorcyclist died on the spot after crashing into a pickup truck. Her 18-year-old female passenger fortunately survived but suffered critical injuries.

Sattahip police responded to a fatal road incident in front of the Engineering Division of Sattahip Naval Base in Chonburi on Wednesday, June 29th.

The victims, according to reports, were women on a motorbike who crashed into the side of a parked Toyota Vigo pickup truck. The first victim, Somnapa Buaban, 33, tragically perished in the collision, but her 18-year-old passenger, Sutatta (last name withheld), miraculously survived with severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

According to reports, the parked pickup truck belonged to Bunjob Klomklom, 46. He was reportedly shocked by the tragedy and waited at the scene to speak with law enforcement. According to him, he pulled over his truck on the roadside to go look for his cow he previously left eating grass nearby. He then heard the accident and dashed back to find both victims on the ground.

As of press time, the victim’s body was taken to the hospital for religious rites while Sattahip police were interrogating the truck owner.
