Pattaya –

Pattaya City has clarified about unfinished work after local residents have complained about water drains higher than roads which could be dangerous.

Photos of water drains on Thepprasit Road and nearby areas have gone viral on social media. Road users and residents are worried that these water drains are dangerous as they are higher than the road surface.

Many residents said they have lived in Pattaya for many years. They have never seen any water drains like this before that look like pillars. If any motorbike hit the water drain, it might cause an accident.

The construction is not finished yet, according to Pattaya City Hall. The roads will be covered with asphalt which will be equal with those water drainages. They will not be raised above the road surface when the work is finished.
