Sattahip District, Chonburi —

The Na Jomtien municipality mayor inspected a footpath at Na Jomtien Beach this week, promising long-requested changes.

Tuesday, May 24th, Ms. Rapeepan Rattanakluang, Jomtien municipality mayor, and other relevant authorities visited the newly extended Na Jomtien Beach in the Na Jomtien sub-District, Sattahip District, Chonburi, to inspect the 1,500-meter-long beach footpath as requested by many tourists and residents.

According to her statements, Ms. Rapeepan said that the footpath was in a deteriorated condition and that the authorities were planning to fix it along with the road surface. She also addressed a specific location for street vendors to operate without disturbing citizens and tourists who wanted to exercise and relax on the beach. Additionally, plans are in place to plant trees and provide rest areas and exercise equipment on the beach. However, there is no “set in stone” timeline for these plans.

TPN notes that requests for shade and trees on the South end of Na Jomtien Beach have become common among residents and tourists.

Ms. Rapeepan stated that the issues she saw today will be discussed among relevant authorities and will be solved as soon as possible. Again, however, a specific date and timeline was not provided.
