Thailand reported another recent new low of Covid-19 daily infections at 3,893 cases, the lowest since New Year’s, with a total of 7,323 recoveries and 38 deaths today, May 17th, according to the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).
Of the new cases, 3,890 were domestic cases and another three cases were imported, resulting in the number of cumulative cases reaching 2,159,542 since January 1st, 2022.
The number of hospitalized patients who are suffering from pneumonia or other critical health conditions was at 1,245 cases – an average of 16 per province. The bed occupancy rate nationwide was 16.0 percent.
The new 38 deaths have brought the cumulative number of fatalities to 29,550 cases. A total of 4,382,977 cumulative confirmed cases and 4,290,090 recoveries were reported since 2020.
