Two male drivers in their thirties injured after truck accident in Pattaya

Banglamung –

Two male drivers in their thirties have sustained injuries after a trailer truck that was carrying sand crashed into a second truck in the Pattaya area on Monday (April 4th).

The Banglamung Police were notified of the accident on Number 331 Road in the Baan Pong Saket, Takean Tia sub-district.

Police and Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find an overturned truck and trailer truck on the side of the road. Boxes, cans, and sand were found scattered across the road.

The driver of the smaller truck, Mr. Kraiwut Soonthornsak, 32, had sustained moderate injuries. The other overturned trailer truck was found nearby with sand spilled across the road. The driver, Mr. Udom Mangmee, 39, had sustained several minor injuries. They were both taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.

Witnesses told TPN reporters that the smaller truck driven by Kraiwut was stopped in front of a local store. The driver was moving products into the store for delivery when the trailer trick crashed into the back of Kraiwut’s vehicle at high speed.

Banglamung police are reviewing CCTV at the scene and as of press time had not filed legal charges, although noted to TPN they were likely coming soon once investigators could speak with both injured men.
