Truck driver hits father and young daughter on motorbike in Pattaya, flees following the accident

Banglamung –

  A father and his daughter who were on a motorbike have sustained severe injuries after they were hit by a pickup driver who later fled the scene in Banglamung last night (April 5th).

Emergency responders were notified of the accident at 8:00 P.M. on Sukhumvit Road near the Thep Prasit Intersection in Nongprue.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the damaged motorbike on the road. Nearby, they found Mr. Erawan Inthasorn, 50, and his 8-year-old daughter. They had both sustained severe injuries and were rushed to a local hospital.

Mr. Erawan, who was still conscious, told reporters as he was being taken into an ambulance, “We were on a motorbike heading to see my wife in Soi Khao Noi. Suddenly, a pickup truck crashed into my motorbike before speeding away.”

The pickup truck number plate was found on the road. Police are continuing their investigation to find the driver for further legal action.

As of press time, both the father and daughter remained at a local medical facility and Banglamung police continued to hunt for the pickup truck driver who fled.
