Pattaya –

A room in a condominium caught fire in the Pattaya area yesterday (March 28th), alarming residents, but no injuries were reported.

Firefighters were notified of the fire at a condominium Soi Khao Noi 2, Nongprue, around the middle of the afternoon.

First responders arrived at the condominium to find smoke coming out from a room on the fifth floor.

It took more than 20 minutes to control the floor and condo security guards were given praise by first responders for assisting residents, including the elderly and disabled, from the floor during the blaze. The condominium room where the fire had begun was totally destroyed.

Mr. Kananon Imkrajang, 36, the owner of the room where the fire began, briefly told TPN media, “I came back into the condominium building from running errands outside before I found smoke coming out from my room, and then I discovered the fire. I immediately alerted building security who helped evacuate the floor of elderly and disabled residents while we waited for fire emergency services. I have no idea how the fire started.”

The cause of the fire was still under investigation as of press time.
