Pattaya, Thailand-
A group of executives from the Damini Yaowarat Gold Shop donated 200 boxes of meals and clothes to passersby and unemployed people on the Pattaya beach over the past weekend.
Yesterday, March 27th, a group of executives from the Damini Yaowarat Gold Shop led by Mr. Daminder Singh Anand, an Indian executive, and his Thai wife Ms. Kanokwan Khamkaew, set up a charity stand to distribute 200 containers of meals, water, and clothing to the passerby and the unemployed people on Pattaya Beach.
Ms. Kanokwan said to TPN reporters that the purpose of today’s charity was to celebrate her 33rd birthday and also to help those unfortunate people who may have lost their job due to Covid-19. Her husband and she intended to continue this distribution at least one time a week for four weeks on Pattaya Beach.
TPN notes that recovery from Covid-19 related restrictions has been slow in much of Thailand, including Pattaya. This is due to multiple reasons, including the fact that Thailand has still not truly opened the borders without going through various testing and paperwork as well as the fact that some business sectors, namely entertainment and nightlife, are still restricted or technically still banned. These restrictions are hoped to be lifted by June/July, according to the Thai government.
