UPDATE: Missing fisherman found deceased near Sri Racha

The body of a fisherman who had been missing since his fishing boat capsized in the Bang Saen area was found in Sri Racha yesterday.

PREVIOUS STORY:

The Saen Suk Police was notified of a women’s body floating in the sea two kilometers from the shore on March 18th. The body was spotted by another fisherman. Mr. Somphon Sampaonoi, 45 was still missing.

UPDTAE STORY:

The Sri Racha Police were notified from a local fisherman that a male body was found floating near a beach in the Bang Phra sub-district earlier this weekend, March 25th, 2022, in the early morning, after being reported missing for about a week.

Police and rescue workers arrived at the beach and the man’s body was recovered from the water. The body was later positively identified as Mr. Somphon Sampaonoi, 45. His body was taken to a local hospital.

The capsized fishing boat of the tragically deceased couple was also recovered from the sea, closing the chapter to the sad story.
