Sri Racha –

A pickup truck driver who allegedly fell asleep at the wheel was seriously injured after crashing into a trailer truck in Sri Racha yesterday (March 21st).

The Highway Police was notified of the accident after midnight on the Motorway in the Bang Phra sub-district.

The first response teams arrived at the scene to find the male driver aged around 40 who was unconscious stuck inside his damaged pickup truck. Rescue workers used a hydraulic cutter to free him and he was taken to a local hospital. His name was not immediately released by highway police.

The trailer truck driver, Mr. Natee Sukwamyon, 44, told TPN media, “While I was driving I heard something crash into the back of my trailer truck. I stopped my vehicle before I found the damaged pickup truck and the injured man. I immediately called highway emergency services for assistance, I was not injured.”
