Banglamung –

An alleged drug suspect has been arrested with a variety of drugs and guns in the Pattaya area this weekend.

The Banglamung Police arrested Mr. Somyos ‘Ball’ Wanchit, 26, from Nakhon Sawan yesterday (March 18th). The exact place of arrest was not given by Banglamung police, although “Ball” reportedly had the firearms in his possession at the time of arrest and was considered armed and dangerous.

Seized from him were 1,720 methamphetamine pills, 23.52 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 24 pills of ecstasy, 2.76 grams of ecstasy, two guns, various gun-related equipment, and 33 bullets.

The arrest came after police received a tip-off from an anonymous concerned citizen that ‘Ball Takeantia’ was a significant drug dealer in Banglamung. He was allegedly selling drugs throughout the Pattaya and Banglamung regions. Police operated a sting operation using undercover agents before arresting him.

Ball is facing charges of illegal possession of Category 1 drugs with intent to sell, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and carrying firearms in public without permission.
