Sri Racha –

One person has sustained multiple injuries after their sedan ran under a trailer truck in Sri Racha earlier this week.

The Nongkham Police were notified of the accident at 8:30 P.M. yesterday, March 8th, on the Marp Eiang – Laem Chabang in Nong Kham sub-district.

They arrived at the scene to find the sedan stuck under the trailer truck on the road. The sedan passenger, Ms. Suwanna Ariyasuksakul, 27, had sustained multiple injuries.

The sedan driver, Ms. Wipawee, 27, no last name provided, told TPN media, “I did not see the trailer truck which was coming out from a small road. The road is also under construction which made my vision more difficult. We became stuck under the trailer truck. I blame the lack of lighting in the construction area for this accident, this was not my fault.”

The trailer truck driver, Mr. Attaphon Ngimpeng, 37, told TPN media, “I did not see the sedan when I was coming out from the small road. However, I was using my proper turn signals and had right of way.”

Nongkham police had not determined who was at fault as of press time and were reviewing CCTV in the area. As for the lighting, police pointed out that hundreds of other drivers did not seem to have difficulty and the area did not seem to be particularly poorly lit compared to the surrounding road.
