Two new deaths
The Chonburi Department of Public Health announced 1,134 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 today with two new deaths, March 7th, 2022.
This makes a total of 47,840 cases (PCR) and 41,419 cases (ATK) of Covid-19 in the current round of infections, with 11,728 (PCR) and 17,262 (ATK) people still under medical care/supervision, and with a total of 62 recorded deaths in Chonburi since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.
Additionally, 1,419 (PCR) and 1,252 (ATK) people were also released and recovered yesterday in Chonburi. 36,050 (PCR) and 24,157 (ATK) people in total have now been released from medical care and recovered in Chonburi since this current wave of Covid-19 began at the beginning of this year, January 2022.
Three people were listed as being in serious condition in Chonburi currently, either on a ventilator or pneumonia. Two of them were not vaccinated. According to the Chonburi Department of Public Health, the vast majority of recent cases are mild or asymptomatic, 99.3% percent in total.
The two new deaths were at the age of 61 and 63 with personal health problems and pre-existing conditions. ฺBoth of them were not vaccinated.
In total, 1,992,440 people in Pattaya and Chonburi have received their first dose of a Covid -19 vaccine which is 85.55 percent of the total Chonburi population. Of those, 305,197 have received their first dose and are what the Thai government calls 608 groups (elders, have chronic health problems, and pregnant) which is 82.50 percent of those in these risk groups in Chonburi.
841,602 people have received their triple dose which is 36.13 percent of the total Chonburi population. Of those, 143,003 are 608 groups which is 38.66 percent of those in these risk groups in Chonburi.
The district-level new cases were as follows today:
Mueang Chonburi 204, Si Racha 187, Banglamung (Pattaya) 180, Panat Nikhom 15, Sattahip 15, Ban Bueng 35, Phan Thong 41, ฺBor Thong 10, Ko Chan 1, Nong Yai 3, Ko Si Chang, and 60 people transferred from other provinces for medical care.

- Work and stayed in Rayong, transferred from other provinces for medical care, 51 cases
- Cluster, Exedy company in Mueang Chonburi, 3 cases
- Risky occupations meeting many people, 33 cases
- 20 medical personnel
- 2 back from other provinces from Chachoengsao and Phuket
- Close contacts from previously confirmed cases in families – 143 cases, in workplaces –63 cases, close personal contacts – 65 cases, and joined a party – 4 case
- Close contacts of a confirmed patient (under investigation), 23 cases
- 377 cases close contacts of a confirmed patient (under investigation)
