The police, along with local reporters and first responders, arrived at the scene to find a damaged minivan, pickup truck, and larger white truck on the road.
The minivan driver, Mr. Nattaphon Wannaprom, 31, had sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for medical assistance. The other two vehicle drivers were uninjured. There were no passengers in the minivan at the time of the accident.
The pickup truck driver, Mr. Kittipong Pannorat, told TPN media “The minivan driver was making a U-turn before he collided with the other truck and my pickup truck. This was the fault of the minivan driver for making a U-turn at the wrong time.”
The truck driver declined to speak with reporters or identify himself to the press.
Mueang Chonburi police are planning to review CCTV and determine who exactly was at legal fault for the accident and then file charges accordingly.
