The Pattaya City Police Chief throughout this week has personally led a donation and charity drive for bedridden patients, the elderly, locals in need, and vendors in the Pattaya area, coinciding with Valentine’s Day and Makha Bucha (religious holiday).
The Pattaya City Police Chief Colonel Kunlachart Kunlachai and his team first went to the Korpai community in South Pattaya to assist those in need with donations and charity work.
The Pattaya City Police also gave 50 sets of rice, water, and eggs to locals in North Pattaya and 100 sets to Pattaya beach vendors.
Colonel Kunlachart told TPN media, “We have given necessary items such as food and adult diapers to elders and bedridden patients as well as locals and vendors. We did this to show the community that law enforcement cares for local residents and to give support to those who most need it during the holidays which traditionally are times to make merit and give gifts to those you care for.”
TPN media notes that Colonel Kunlachart, who is fairly new to his role and has only been in place for a few months, has been heavily committed to charity work in Pattaya, urging law enforcement and local officials to make charity an important part of their duties. Pattaya has been devastated for several years due to Covid-19 restrictions and lack of tourists, which is the majority of their economy. Things are slowly improving but Colonel Kunlachart has stressed to the public that “we are not out of the woods yet” and must continue to help those who need support.
