Unidentified man falls to death at hotel in Pattaya on Valentine’s Day

Pattaya –

Police have yet to identify the body of a man who fell to his death at a hotel in Pattaya on Valentine’s Day (February 14th).

The Pattaya City Police were notified of the incident at 2:30 P.M yesterday at a luxury hotel on Pattaya Third Road, whose name was withheld pending further investigation.

Police, emergency responders, and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the male body who was about 165 centimeters tall. No identification documents were found on his body and on the 25th floor of the hotel law enforcement found a pair of shoes.

The hotel staff told Pattaya police the man did not stay at the hotel. He came into the hotel just before the incident around 2:00 P.M. and asked where the elevator was. According to staff, the man, who is of Asian descent but unknown nationality, seemed calm and showed no signs of being distressed or upset. Guests at the hotel heard something crash to the ground which prompted security guards to find the deceased man and immediately call the police.

CCTV footage, seen below with the unidentified man in red, from the hotel shows the man came into the hotel alone. The Pattaya City Police are continuing their investigation to identify the body. At this stage, police believe the man died by suicide. However, his exact cause of death is being identified as is any motive for the incident.
