2-year-old boy drowns at pool villa in Pattaya on Valentine’s Day

Pattaya –

A 2-year-old boy tragically drowned at a swimming pool at a pool villa in Pattaya last night (February 14th).

Emergency responders were notified of the incident at 10:00 P.M. at a pool villa in Soi Pratumnak 4.

Police, emergency responders, and The Pattaya News arrived at the pool villa. The young boy had already been pulled up from the water by his parents who were crying and in emotional shock. The boy was rushed to a local hospital where despite the best efforts of medical staff he was pronounced dead.

His father told the Pattaya police he is a photographer. He, his wife, and his son were at the pool villa for work and taking photos with models for a paid photoshoot. However, the family did not reveal further details.

The name of the boy and the family were withheld by Pattaya police who stated they are planning to review CCTV from the villa and investigate the circumstances around the drowning further.
