Chonburi announces 754 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 and two new deaths

Highlights:

  • 754 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Chonburi today

  • 492 positive ATK tests were reported but all require a second confirmed PCR test before being counted as official cases. The ATK positive tests are just “possible” cases until confirmed by PCR.
  • 463 people recovered and were released from medical care

  • Two new deaths

The Chonburi Department of Public Health announced 754 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 today with two new deaths, February 10th, 2022.

This makes a total of 22,621 cases of Covid-19 in the current round of infections, with 5,344 people still under medical care/supervision, and with a total of 28 recorded deaths in Chonburi since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Additionally, 463 people were also released and recovered yesterday in Chonburi. 17,249 people in total have now been released from medical care and recovered in Chonburi since this current wave of Covid-19 began at the beginning of this year, January 2022.
One person was listed as being in serious condition in Chonburi currently, either on a ventilator or pneumonia. The person was not vaccinated. According to the Chonburi Department of Public Health, the vast majority of recent cases are mild or asymptomatic.
The two new deaths were at the average age of 67 with personal health problems and pre-existing conditions. One of them was double-dose vaccinated.
In total, 1,954,955 people in Pattaya and Chonburi have received their first dose of a Covid -19 vaccine which is 83.94 percent of the total Chonburi population. Of those, 302,043 have received their first dose and are what the Thai government calls 608 groups (elders, have chronic health problems, and pregnant) which is 81.65 percent of those in these risk groups in Chonburi.
666,755 people have received their triple dose which is 28.63 percent of the total Chonburi population. Of those, 115,204 are 608 groups which are 31.14 percent of those in these risk groups in Chonburi.

The district-level new cases were as follows today:

Mueang Chonburi 189, Si Racha 176, Banglamung (Pattaya) 149, Panat Nikhom 26, Sattahip 63, Ban Bueng 21, Phan Thong 63, ฺBor Thong 6, Ko Chan 7, Nong Yai 5, Koh Sichang 1, and 48 people transferred from other provinces for medical care.

1. Work and stayed in Rayong, transferred from other provinces for medical care, 40 cases
2. Cluster, Usui Corperation in Phan Thong, 13 cases
3. Cluster, Bridgestone Tire Manufacturing company in Phan Thong, 10 cases
4. Cluster, Thai NOK company in Mueang Chonburi, 11 cases
5. Cluster, H-One Parts company in Si Racha, 7 cases
6. Cluster, Fujitsu General company in Si Racha, 4 cases
7. Cluster, Si Racha Construction work site in Si Racha, 4 cases
8. Risky occupations meeting many people, 31 cases
9. 10 medical personnel
10. 10 back from other provinces from Bangkok (4), Kalasin (1), Chanthaburi (1), Chachoengsao (1), Chiang Rai (1), Trat (1), and Udon Thani (1)
11. Close contacts from previously confirmed cases in families – 194 cases, in workplaces –87 cases, close personal contacts – 36 cases, and joined a party – 9 case
12. Close contacts of a confirmed patient (under investigation), 22 cases
13. 266 cases close contacts of a confirmed patient (under investigation)
