Pickup truck driver crashes into SUV and Pattaya garbage truck while attempting a U-turn

Pattaya –

A pickup truck crashed into an SUV and a garbage truck in Pattaya at about noon yesterday (February 5th).

The Pattaya City Police was notified of the incident at 12:30 P.M. in front of a gas station on Sukhumvit Road in Nongprue.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the overturned garbage truck, the damaged SUV, and the damaged pickup truck on the road. The garbage truck driver, Mr. Somkit Sukwiset, and a garbage collector, Mrs. Ta Sukwiset, had sustained minor injuries. Both were given medical assistance. The accident caused significant traffic delays during the normally busy lunchtime hour.

The pickup truck driver, Mr. Wakkaluck Puratapanya, told TPN media, “I was making a U-turn before crashing into an SUV which caused the SUV to crash into the garbage truck.”

The driver of the SUV declined to speak with the press or identify themselves to the media.

Pattaya Police are continuing their investigation for further likely legal action.
