Chonburi –

A female motorbike driver has sustained serious injuries after she crashed her motorbike into a parked truck in Mueang Chonburi yesterday afternoon, January 23rd, 2022.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident on the Bypass Road in Nong Maidang sub-district. They arrived at the scene to find Ms. Roongruedee Krairatchimplee, 33, lying on the road in severe pain. She has sustained serious head and face injuries and was rushed to a local hospital. Nearby, first responders found the damaged motorbike and the truck.

The truck driver, Mr. Wichanchai Sukpana, 41, told local reporters, “I was going to have the truck fixed at a garage nearby but there were no parking spaces available at the garage. The garage owner asked me to park my truck on the side of the road near the garage before I went back home to wait for the repairs to be completed. Later, the garage owner called me to inform me that the motorbike rider crashed into my truck.”

Mueang Chonburi police are continuing their investigation and determining if the location where the truck was parked was a legal parking space or not. As of press time, no legal charges had been filed.
