WGP#1 JET SKI WORLD CUP 2021-2022 enters final day in Jomtien

The WGP#1 JET SKI WORLD CUP 2021-2022 is being held in Pattaya and wraps up today (January 16th) with their final major races and award ceremonies.

The competition officially launched today (January 15th) at Jomtien Beach and was led by Pattaya City Deputy Mayor Wuttisak Ruemkitkan. The event has been running since January 12th, however, the major races and highlights were scheduled primarily over this weekend.

Mr. Wuttisak told TPN media, “Many world athletes are joining in the tournament, WGP#1 Jet Ski World Cup 2021-2022. There are five types of jet-ski competitions. This is one of the world’s best sports competitions and is set on beautiful Jomtien Beach here in the Pattaya area which has many family-friendly attractions and tourist spots.”

“This competition is based on our core model to develop Thai sports brand tournaments. “This area has been continually used for jet-ski world cup competitions for more than 15 years and, even with Covid19, has been growing every year,” Wuttisak added.

The competition is being held under strict Covid-19 requirements which includes all vendors, racers, staff, AND fans that enter the stadium areas to take a daily Covid-19 rapid test. Additional precautions include social distancing, temperature checks, mandatory mask-wearing, constant loudspeaker reminders of Covid-19, hand sanitizer checkpoints, and more.
