Ban Bueng –

A driver has sustained only minor injuries after his pickup truck collided with a power pole following a collision with a second vehicle in Ban Bueng.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident on the number 3138 Road in the Klong Giw sub-district just before the past weekend.

The first response teams arrived at the scene in the early afternoon to find the damaged pickup truck embedded into a telephone pole at the central reservation. The driver, Mr. Sonkwan Jimanang, age not given, had sustained minor injuries but agreed to visit a local hospital for a routine checkup.

A second pickup truck driver, whose name was not released, told the associated Thai press, “I crashed into the back of Mr. Sonkwan’s pickup truck before he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the power pole. I was not injured.”

It was unclear what had caused the second driver to crash into Sonkwan’s vehicle and law enforcement reportedly took him for further interviews.
