Si Racha –

A 38-year-old female motorbike rider has been pronounced dead at the scene after she crashed into a truck in Si Racha this week.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident earlier this week in Nong Kham. They arrived at the scene near a gas station to find the truck and the damaged motorbike on the road.

The body of Ms. Sirinya Plodjaikwang, 38, was found near the truck. The truck driver, who was uninjured, Mr. Manas Surahit, 37, was waiting for police at the scene.

Mr. Manas told Si Racha police, “I was coming out from the gas station and I did not see Ms. Sirinya approaching on her motorbike. She ran into my truck and was tragically run over as a result of the accident. I did not have time to stop and I do not know why she could not see my vehicle.”

Si Racha police are continuing their investigation and reviewing CCTV in the area, they did not state if they would be immediately charging Mr. Manas with any legal charges.
