27-year-old man dies after motorbike crash in Chonburi

Chonburi –

A 27-year-old driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after he crashed his motorbike into a cement path in Mueang Chonburi.

The Mueang Chonburi Police were notified of the accident over the past weekend on Number 344 Road in the Nong Ree sub-district.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the body of Mr. Pairat Mahardthai, 27, who had sustained serious injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. His damaged motorbike was found nearby.

A witness, Mr. Suchan Wongaree, 47, told the associated press, “I saw that Mr. Pairat was driving at high speed before crashing into a cement path on the side of the road.”

Mueang Chonburi police are checking CCTV footage nearby to verify the witness statement and confirm the exact cause of the accident while an autopsy is set to be completed on the victim.
