Five people arrested after allegedly brawling on Pattaya beach

Pattaya –

Five people were arrested and charged after allegedly fighting on Pattaya Beach last night (November 8th).

The Pattaya City Police was notified of the incident at 10:30 P.M. on Central Pattaya Beach near a popular shopping mall.

Pattaya Patrol Police arrived at the scene to find about eight teenagers were watching two men aged around 25 fist fighting on the beach walkway. Several people were seen filming the incident.

Another two women aged around 25 were also fighting nearby on the actual beach. A fifth person was also arrested, although their role in the brawl was not immediately made clear by Pattaya Police. All five involved were taken to the Pattaya police station.

One of the women involved in the brawl reportedly told Pattaya police the other woman she was fighting with had a secret relationship with her boyfriend. She asked the woman to stop the relationship but the woman refused and posted some of their relationship stories on Tik Tok.

The man in question was reportedly fired from his job after the story on Tik Tok went viral. So, the two different parties met to clear their problem on the beach as they thought the beach would be a safe, neutral area to discuss their conflict with each other. Unfortunately, the discussion quickly led to a physical confrontation, with both parties blaming the other for escalating the issue.

Pattaya Police stated that all five of them have been charged with fighting in public and causing a public nuisance. Each of them was fined 1,000 baht. Their names were not released by Pattaya Police, however, law enforcement stated that they had a no-tolerance policy for fighting in public areas such as Pattaya Beach.

As for the ongoing conflict between the two parties, there did not seem to be any immediate resolution and both sides agreed to disagree but not resort to physical confrontation.
