13-year-old girl and motorbike taxi driver injured in Si Racha hit-and-run

Si Racha –

A young student and a motorbike taxi driver have sustained injuries after being involved in a hit and run accident caused by a car in the Si Racha district.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident in the Nong Kham sub-district earlier this week. The first response teams arrived at the scene to find a heavily damaged motorbike on the road.

Two people were found injured who were identified as a motorbike taxi driver, Mr. Prayoon Pitaraae, 66, and a 13-year-old student. They were taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.

The mother of the girl Ms. Saifon Kokkhueng told The Pattaya News, “We were waiting to get Covid -19 vaccines at a student vaccine center nearby. My daughter forgot her identification card. She went back home to get the card with the taxi motorbike driver before the hit-and-run accident happened.”

The driver of the vehicle that hit the two injured people fled immediately according to dash cam footage and witnesses.

Si Racha police are checking CCTV footage nearby hunting for the hit-and-run driver to face legal action.
