Pattaya, Thailand-
October 24th, 2021 is World Polio Day.
Three Rotary Clubs from Pattaya will join forces in a single evening to raise funds for the fight against this disease!!!
October 24th of every year is World Polio Day and Rotary clubs around the world organize events to create awareness about the scourge of the dreaded Polio disease and how we must help to eradicate it. Rotary has been campaigning since 1988 to help eradicate Polio and it is one of our main projects. Since 1988, we’ve seen a worldwide reduction in polio cases of 99.9%. For more than three years, we’ve seen wild polio cases in only two countries, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
This year, three Rotary Clubs in Pattaya are combining forces to do a nice, worthwhile, informative, fundraising function at the Royal Cliff Ballroom on Sunday the 24th of October 2021, from 4:30 P.M. onwards.
The three Rotary Clubs coming together are the Rotary Clubs of Marina, Jomtien Pattaya, and Dolphin Pattaya International.
The event will be held under Covid-19 precautions and has been given permission by local authorities to take place. It will be 1,500 baht with a formal dress code and a 3-course set dinner. Drinks are not included. The event will feature fundraising with raffles and auctions.
