The Pattaya City Police have arrested two drug dealers in Bangkok this week that law enforcement officers say are connected with Pattaya drug dealers. Police seized five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, guns, and ammunition, according to their report.
Major Suchart Manakan from the Pattaya City Invetigation Police told The Pattaya News reporters, “We have arrested two drug suspects who are Mr. Aussanee ‘Aun’ Seewong, 29, and Mr. Somchai ‘Chai’ Namkam, 44.”
“Seized from them were five kilograms of methamphetamine, a handgun, 14 bullets, and a sedan utilized for drug-related activities.” Suchart explained.
“They are facing charges of illegal possession of Category 1 Drugs with intent to sell, illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and illegally carrying a gun in public without reason,” Suchart added, detailing the officer’s findings.
“They were arrested at a hotel on Phet Kasem Road in Tha Phra, Bangkok Yai. These arrests came after following a tip from prior suspects arrested in Pattaya on drug-related charges. After we continued our investigation, we arrested more suspects in the drug network. This network may be larger, as well, so our investigation continues to keep Pattaya and Thailand safe from drug dealers and criminals.” Suchart concluded.
The two suspects remained in custody as of press time.
