Chonburi reports 822 new Covid-19 cases with 12 deaths

Highlights:

  • 822 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Chonburi today

  • 1,351 people recovered and were released from medical care

  • 12 new deaths

The Chonburi Department of Public Health announced 822 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 today with 12 new deaths, September 3rd.

This makes a total of 65,009 cases of Covid-19 in the current round of infections, with 14,557 people still under medical care/supervision, and with a total of 406 recorded deaths in Chonburi since the start of this recent round of infections in early April. The details on yesterday’s 12 new deaths were not given, which is standard for the health department.

Additionally, 1,351 people were also released and recovered yesterday in Chonburi. 50,046 people in total have now been released from medical care and recovered in Chonburi since this current wave of Covid-19 began.

The district-level new cases were as follows today:

Mueang Chonburi 198, Si Racha 227, Banglamung (Pattaya) 152, Panat Nikhom 39, Sattahip 13, Ban Bueang 82, Pan Thong 39, ฺBor Thong 8, Ko Chan 12, Nong Yai 12, and 40 new cases transferred from other provinces for medical care.

The details on the cases are as follows:

  2. Cluster, Italian Thai in Company in Banglamung, 5 cases
  3. Cluster, Thai Master (Furniture) in Pong, Banglamung, 4 cases
  4. Cluster, Italian Thai in Si Racha, 10 cases
  5. Cluster, Acushnet Footjoy (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Si Racha 9 case
  6. Cluster, Mitsubishi Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Si Racha, 6 cases
  7. Cluster, Meyer Industries Co., Ltd in Si Racha, 7 cases
  8. Cluster, Qualimer Co., Ltd. in Nong Yai, 7 cases
  9. Cluster, Kyokuyo Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Pan Thong, 4 cases
  10. A risky occupation, meeting a lot of people, 17 cases
  11. 3  medical personnel
  12. 42 cases from enterprises in Rayong province
  13. Close contacts of confirmed patients – 227 in families, 129 in workplaces, 26 close people/friends, and 18 joined an illegal party
  14. Close contact of confirmed patients (under investigation), 127 cases
  15. 171 cases are under investigation in general as to the cause of the disease.

A total of 1,104 close contact searches were received today, and 303 proactive search reports are pending.

There are currently clusters of outbreaks in 61 establishments and five markets, 10 construction worker camps, and four communities.
